7 people were transported to hospitals following a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon.
An Oregon State Police report said the accident took place at 12;00 p.m. on Highway 42 in the Camas Valley area. A sedan was traveling eastbound when the vehicle lost traction sliding sideways on the passenger side. An SUV was also headed eastbound and could not avoid the first vehicle, striking it directly on the passenger side. All five occupants of the sedan were transported for injury as were both occupants of the SUV.
Both vehicles were recovered by a towing company. A preliminary investigation indicated that weather was a contributing factor in the accident.
No further details were released by the Oregon State Police.
