Roseburg Police jailed two men for a littering incident on Wednesday morning.
An RPD report said shortly after 9:00 a.m. officers contacted the 41-year-old and 48-year-old in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. Their camp was set up less than 100 yards from the bank of the South Umpqua River. The camp consisted of a large tent which was surrounded by various personal items and a large amount of trash and rubbish.
The men were taken into custody. The 41-year-old was charged with prohibited camping and depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway. Bail was set at $7,500. The 48-year was charged with depositing trash. He was detained on $2,500 bail.
