Roseburg Police jailed a man on littering and camping charges on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 10:20 a.m. officers contacted a 40-year-old man regarding the status of his camp at Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. His camp reportedly violated the time and manner portion of the camping ordinance. Several items were strewn about the ground and the camp resembled a small landfill.

The man was charged with offensive littering and prohibited camping. Bail was set at $6,250.
