Sutherlin Police jailed a man on the charge of misuse of 911 on Tuesday night.

An SPD report said the 40-year-old man, who did not have any kind of an emergency, but called 911 several times. He also allegedly made an additional call into Jackson County’s dispatch center, which reached out with concerns about the man’s calls.

The suspect was warned repeatedly of misuse but continued to call. He was taken into custody at an undisclosed location at about 9;50 p.m. Bail was set at $6,250.
