Roseburg Police jailed a man following an incident early Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 6:40 a.m. 18-year-old Ethan Tomasek of Salem was contacted after he was allegedly caught breaking into a company’s van in the parking lot of their business in the 400 block of Northeast Winchester Avenue. An employee drug Tomasek out of the vehicle and during the scuffle, the suspect allegedly kicked the employee in the chest.

Tomasek was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, third-degree theft and harassment. Tomasek was detained on $10,000 bail.
