Roseburg saw a heavy amount of rainfall on Sunday but missed a record amount for the date.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg Regional Airport measured 0.93 inches of rain from 12:00 a.m. Sunday to 12:00 a.m. Monday. The record amount for the date was 1.21 inches, which was received in 1986.
So far in February, Roseburg has measured a slightly below normal amount of precipitation for the month, getting 2.81 inches in contrast to the normal 2.98 inches amount.
For the water year, which is October 1st through the end of September, Roseburg has gotten a higher-than-normal amount of precipitation, receiving 23.65 inches in contrast to the normal 20.89 inches amount.
