A La Pine woman and an Elkton man were arrested after an incident on Friday.

An Oregon State Police report said shortly before 10:30 a.m. troopers and deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Highway 138W near milepost 12 in the Oakland area. This was to investigate a possible violence call involving a single gunshot.

A deputy located an associated vehicle and made a traffic stop. Shortly thereafter troopers arrived on the scene and took the lead on the investigation, which resulted in both people being arrested.

The 34-year-old woman was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Her pistol was seized as evidence. The 38-year-old man was charged with driving while suspended and for outstanding warrants. He was detained without bail. The vehicle was towed from the scene
