Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 3:10 p.m. officers responded to an apartment in the 1200 block of Northwest Ellan Street, after a victim said a man at the residence was acting out. During the incident the victim said the man punched her in the back of the head and at one point had grabbed a knife and stated that he was going to kill his family.

Officers contacted the 29-year-old about an hour later and he corroborated all of the victim’s story barring the punch and knife. Officers were aware of past incidents involving the man being physical with the victim.

He as charged with harassment. Bail was set at $2,500.
