ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR TRESPASSING ON STATE PROPERTY

Roseburg Police jailed a man for trespassing on state property on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 7:45 a.m. The 35-year-old was contacted under the east end of the Diamond Lake Boulevard Bridge at the corner of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Stephens Street. This area is owned by the State of Oregon and is managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation. It has been fenced off to keep transients out and there are large “No trespassing” signs posted.

The report said there were approximately two truckloads of debris under the bridge, which had just been cleaned up about five weeks prior. The man was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Bail was set at $1,250.
