A Siletz man was jailed following a Sunday night pursuit incident.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:30 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop 41-year-old Travis Rhodes for violations in the 200 block of Southwest Frontage Road in the Canyonville area.
Rhodes reportedly immediately took off on foot. A pursuit continued into a building, leading to the basement with the he was allegedly non-compliant with commands after not being able to run any further. Rhodes ultimately surrendered and was detained. He had a warrant for his arrest and was reportedly found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.
Rhodes was charged with third-degree escape, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and for the warrant. He was detained on $21,250 bail.
