ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR THEFT AFTER THIRD CONTACT ON MONDAY

Roseburg Police jailed a man for third-degree theft after his third contact with police on Monday.

An RPD report said at 12:20 a.m. the 49-year-old was contacted after officers saw him loitering in front of a business in the1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street and noticed that he had an open high-alcohol content beer. The man admitted to drinking and agreed to pour the rest out.

At 2:00 a.m. officers contacted the man after seeing him with a high-alcohol content beer in the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The man admitted to drinking and poured the rest of the beer out.

At 3:20 p.m. officers arrested the man after he reportedly stole two high-alcohol content beers from a business in the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The man had the beers in his possession and admitted to stealing them. Bail was set at $1,250.
