CHI Mercy Health has announced that it will award more than $175,000 to local nonprofit organizations across the county from the Community Health Improvement Grant program.

A Mercy release said the organization has dedicated funds to support community health organizations in addressing some of the county’s most pressing health needs like cancer support services and access to youth education opportunities in dental care and reading.

CHI Mercy Health Market President Russell Wooley said, “At CHI Mercy Health, we’re deeply committed to the well-being of our communities, and our Community Health Improvement Grants are one of the ways we demonstrate that commitment”.

CHI Mercy Health Mercy Foundation President Lisa Platt said, “This investment reflects our mission to improve health and advance social justice, directly supporting the incredible work these organizations do to strengthen families in our community”.

This year the Community Health Improvement Grant program received over $518,000 in requests, and four organizations were selected based on their alignment with Mercy’s Community Health Needs Assessments.

2025 awardees include:

*Aviva Health

*Douglas County Cancer Services

*Explore Enrage Enjoy

*HIV Alliance

Specific amounts going to each organization will be announced soon.
