Roseburg Police cited a woman for second-degree child neglect after an incident on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said at 9:30 p.m. officers contacted the 35-year-old after an anonymous caller said a child had been left in a vehicle in the 200 block of Northeast Jackson Street. Officers determined that the woman had left her 9-year-old son inside her locked vehicle while she gambled inside an establishment.  The vehicle was parked in an unlit lot behind the business near the transient camps. The car engine was off and the temperature outside was 33-degrees.

The woman was released after the citation was issued.
