SPRING INTO GARDENING 2025 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

The Oregon State University Extension Service and Douglas County Master Gardener Association have announced that Spring into Gardening 2025, a Day of Horticultural Learning, will take place on Saturday March 8th, 2025.

The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Umpqua Community College. It will feature OSU Faculty horticultural experts, and Master Gardener volunteers speaking on 17 subjects over the course of four 1-hour sessions.

The day will open with registration check-in at 8:00 a.m. followed by a keynote address by OSU Extension Service Douglas County Small Farms Coordinator Logan Bennett. He will speak on, “The Principles of Integrated Pest Management”. Following that, participants will attend four sessions of their choice, choosing from 4-5 topics offered during each session. Topics include sustainable gardening, pollinators, native plants, apple grafting, flowers and more. Attendance is $40 per person and includes all the sessions. Attendees should bring their own lunch, but snacks and refreshments will be provided. Registration is required by March 3rd.
