Roseburg Police cited a woman for third-degree criminal mischief and prohibited burning on Monday.

An RPD report said at 7:45 a.m. the 40-year-old allegedly started a small warming fire in the pavilion at Fir Grove Park in the 500 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. One of the woman’s tarps caught on fire, burning all her possessions along with it. The fire was put out by Roseburg Fire Department and did not cause any damage to the structure. However, it did leave a large mess of the woman’s burnt possessions behind, which the parks department had to clean up.

The woman was released after the citation was issued.
