The 29th annual Seven Feathers Sportsmen’s and Outdoor Recreation Show presented by Bi-Mart is happening Friday through Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Exposure Show Producer Joe Pate said this year’s featured attractions include the “Wild Wolves of Yellowstone” live animal exhibit. Pate said attendees can learn about the wolves’ habitat as handlers demonstrate examples of basic training methods and techniques used to develop the wolves’ acting skills.
The new “Off-Road Outpost” display will feature sand and dirt side-by-sides, off-road adventure vehicles, trailers, and overland rigs, including CNX’s Off-Road display.
North American Taxidermy will have a display of their incredible award-winning taxidermy. There will be a photo op with the 10-foot Sasquatch, the original northwest outdoorsman.
Fan favorites return including the Giant Fish Tank with expert demonstrations held every hour. New and exciting Douglas Timber Operator’s Sportsmen’s Theatre presentations will include topics such as turkey, blacktail and African hunting, kokanee, bass, chinook fishing, wolves in the northwest, tracking Bigfoot, boating safety and more.
The Seven Feathers Big Game Room will feature life-sized mounts of a bison, bears and wolves in the tour of Northwest Big Game animals.
Guides and outfitters from Alaska to Africa will be on hand to plan adventures on local and exotic waterways, hunting expeditions and photographic adventures.
Much more will be on display around the fairgrounds complex.
Hours are Friday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Admission is $9 for adults or $7 with a Bi-Mart $2 off coupon, which is good Friday and Sunday only. Children ages 6 to 11 are $1 and those under age 5 are admitted for free.
