Roseburg Police cited a man for drinking in public on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. the 41-year-old allegedly had a half-full can of beer sitting in front of him under the Rowe Street bridge in the 200 block of Northeast Rowe Street. As soon as the suspect saw the officer, he reportedly moved the beer around the side of his body in an attempt to hide it. The man claimed that the beer was not his.

He was given a citation and his beer was poured out.
