The 29th annual Seven Feathers Sportsmen’s & Outdoor Recreation Show, presented by Bi-Mart is happening this Friday through Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The year’s featured attractions include the amazing, “Wild Wolves of Yellowstone” live wild animal exhibit. The new “Off-Road Outpost” display will feature sand and dirt side-by-sides, off-road adventure vehicles, trailers and overland rigs. North American Taxidermy will have a display of their award-winning taxidermy.
New this year is the first annual “Capture the Wild” photo contest. Entries in three categories – landscape, wildlife and outdoor activities will be on display.
A number of fan favorites return including the Giant Fish Tank with demonstrations held every hour. New Douglas Timber Operator’s Sportsmen’s Theatre presentations will include a number of topics. Expert speakers include hunter and fisherman Jody Smith, fishing guide Dave Jones and others, who will cover the hottest outdoor adventure topics.
The Seven Feathers Big Game Room will feature life-sized mounts of a bison, bears and wolves in the Tour of Northwest Big Game animals.
Kids, young and old, can try their luck at tackling the climbing wall, catching fish in the popular live trout pond, using bows and arrows at the Curt’s archery range and testing their shooting skills at the National Wild Turkey Federation’s BB Gun Shooting Range.
Guides and outfitters from Alaska to Africa will be on hand to plan adventures on local and exotic waterways, hunting expeditions and photographic adventures.
Governmental agencies and advocacy groups will be represented.
Hours are Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults or $7 with a Bi-Mart $2 off coupon, which is good on Friday and Sunday only. Children ages 6 to 11 are admitted for $1 and those ages 5 and under get in for free.
