A missing Roseburg man was found deceased on Saturday night.

Friday afternoon the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported that 81-year-old Robert Troyer was missing and had last been seen that day at approximately 11:20 a.m. when he drove away from his home in a 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup with a canopy. Troyer had dementia.

Saturday evening shortly after 6:00 p.m. dispatchers received a call from a citizen indicating a possible sighting of Troyer’s vehicle on Cow Creek Road at approximately milepost 22 outside of Glendale.

Deputies responded to the area and located the pickup. Troyer was found to be deceased inside the vehicle. There are no indications of foul play. The Douglas County Medical Examiners Office was notified as was Troyer’s next of kin.
