In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Starting in February the Umpqua Movement Arts Collaboration will be starting their new performance class series and is seeking community members who want a new source of wellness and connection to join the fun.
Beginning on Monday, a preview week will start at the downtown Roseburg dance studio with a variety of multi-week classes available for students to try classes and explore new types of dances.
In early May, all the students will be performing at Umpqua Community College’s Whipple Fine Arts Center stage with a new production titled, “Constellations: Dances of the Zodiac”. A Halloween season show will also be planned for this fall with performance classes starting in July. Sponsorships for the 2025 performance series are now available.
Umpqua Movement Arts Collaboration was formally incorporated as a non-profit organization in the summer of 2023.
