Roseburg Police jailed a man for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said shortly after 9:00 a.m. officers contacted the 64-year-old next to his camp in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The man allegedly had an open beer next to his camp. His camp was outside the time portion of the camping ordinance, and he had two previous convictions for prohibited camping.

He was detained on $5,000 bail. The man was cited for drinking in public.
