Roseburg Police jailed a man for prohibited camping on Tuesday.

An RPD report said 11:00 a.m. officers contacted the 51-year-old at his camp which was set up in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. His camp consisted of a large tent surrounded by various personal items. The camp was found to be set up in a prohibited area during a prohibited time.

The man had two prior convictions for prohibited camping and was taken into custody without incident. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
