Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman for an alleged assault incident on Tuesday.
A DCSO report said at 11:30 a.m. the victim was involved in a disturbance with the 45-year-old suspect in the 3400 block of Upper Cow Creek Road in the Azalea area. During the disturbance, the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the head several times, causing injury. The suspect also reportedly bit the victim’s finger.
The woman was charged with a 4th-degree felony count of assault and for harassment. She was detained without bail.
