A Sunny Valley man was jailed Monday for an alleged trespass incident.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said on Sunday deputies responded to the 1900 block of Starveout Creek Road in the Azalea due to a vehicle being parked on the property and the gate being broken down to gain entry. No one was located at that location.
On Monday, a caller said that someone had cut the gate open again. Deputies responded and found the 43-year-old on the property. The man said a woman had asked him to go to the property and get the vehicle that she had left there. The female ran from the area when deputies arrived. Deputies checked the area but could not find her.
The man was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained without bail and was released on Tuesday. The case is pending further follow-up.
