ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY NIGHT

January 27, 2025 3:30 a.m.

Roseburg City Council has several items on the agenda for its Monday night meeting.

Councilors will consider increasing the compensation for City Manager Nikki Messenger by 5 percent to $15,562 per month. That would be effective retroactively to September 1st of last year.

The council will also consider raising Municipal Judge Jason Mahan’s monthly salary by 5 percent to $6,267, effective retroactively to the start of November of 2024.

Mayor Larry Rich will review council rules and procedures and city council policy regarding Oregon ethics laws.

Councilors are expected to make appointments for two open seats on the Budget Committee.

Douglas County Circuit Court Judge Robert Johnson will make a presentation regarding the upcoming Drug Court Graduation on Monday, February 3rd.

Councilors will vote on a resolution that would make charges regarding the meeting room policy for the Roseburg Public Library.

The council will vote on awarding the engineering contract for the five-year pavement management program to Century West Engineering.
