A Sutherlin man was jailed following an alleged hit and run incident on Thursday evening.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 5:40 p.m. the 22-year-old allegedly ran his sports car through the stop light at the intersection of Highway 99 North and North College Road, just north of Winchester.
The driver then reportedly got out of his vehicle and ran southbound before being detained by Oregon State Police at the fish ladder, just south of the accident scene.
The second driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for neck pain. The first driver was charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver to injured persons and for a probation violation. He was detained on $100,000 bail.
