Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team arrested a Tri-City woman Wednesday as they brought to conclusion a weeks-long investigation into an alleged cocaine trafficking case.
DINT Commander Lieutenant Rick McArthur said during the course of the investigation, detectives were able to develop evidence of multiple suspected cocaine sales by 35-year-old Joanna Johnson. McArthur said Wednesday, at approximately 2:35 p.m. DINT detectives with assistance of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Myrtle Creek Police executed a search warrant at Johnson’ residence in the 100 block of Old Pacific Highway in the Myrtle Creek/Tri City area.
McArthur said during the execution of the search warrant, detectives allegedly located approximately an ounce of suspected cocaine, 477 dosage units of Alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, and a small amount of suspected DMT. Detectives also reportedly located and seized an AK-47 style rife.
Johnson was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession, manufacture and delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and one count of unlawful possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. Johnson was detained without bail.
