CCD Business Development Corporation has announced its selection as a grant recipient of funding from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation.

CCD has been awarded $8,500 to support its mission of fostering Women-In-Business meetings across Douglas and Coos counties.

The WIB program, organized by CCD’s Technical Assistance Department since 2022, provides meetings in both counties designed to offer resources, support, education, and connection for women entrepreneurs, small business owners and professionals. pics such as marketing, workforce development, financial management, work-life balance, mental health and networking opportunities.
Between meetings, attendees stay connected through digital Facebook groups and quarterly surveys ensure that the program evolves to meet specific needs of participants.

CCD Executive Director Theresa Haga said, “We are honored to receive this grant from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation, as it will enable us to expand our reach and further empower local women entrepreneurs and small business owners, ensuring they have resources and support to succeed”.
