A Yoncalla man was jailed for a restraining order violation early Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 1:30 a.m. a deputy was informed about a van lingering around Yoncalla at weird hours of the night. The deputy contacted the occupants of the van at the intersection of Alder Street and Applegate Avenue. The deputy learned that the 30-year-old was not to be within 150 feet of the passenger.

Both people told the deputy that they were trying to work things out. The man was taken into custody and charged with a restraining order violation. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
