FREEZING FOG ADVISORY THROUGH 10:00 A.M. SUNDAY

January 19, 2024 6:50 a.m.

A Freezing Fog Advisory is in effect through 10:00 a.m. Sunday for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said visibility of one quarter mile or less in freezing fog is expected.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County. It applies to Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford and the Interstate 5 corridor.

Forecasters said low visibility and icy surfaces could make driving and walking conditions hazardous. Icy roads will require slower speeds and additional stopping distance. Sidewalks may become icy and slippery.

Drivers should slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of their vehicle.
