SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED PRIOR STRANGULATION INCIDENT

Sutherlin Police jailed a man Thursday for an alleged prior strangulation incident.

An SPD report said it was disclosed that on the night of December 28th, that 39-year-old Dustan Wright grabbed an adult female victim by the throat, restricting her breathing during an altercation. About two weeks later, Wright was reportedly at the victim’s apartment and brandished a gun in an attempt to stop the victim from contacting law enforcement to have him trespassed from the apartment.

Wright was taken into custody on Thursday. He was charged with a felony count of strangulation, menacing, and first-degree criminal trespass. Wright was detained without bail.
