A local group of Oregon Horseman is part of a statewide effort to gather supplies and raise money for the Los Angeles fire horse and animal situation.
Contact people are available to accept contributions of tack and equipment that are no longer needed. That includes lead ropes, water buckets, medical supplies, tack or blankets.
Items can be dropped off at the Douglas County Farmers Co-Op or Oregon Tool and Supply in Roseburg.
Organizers said the goal is to gather supplies and equipment by the end of this month and then take it to southern California. Fundraisers are in the works with the goal being to send the funds by the end of February.
In Douglas County, those who would like to help can call 430-5171.
