A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday.
A Roseburg Police report said at 4:45 p.m. officers responded to a crash near the intersection of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue. The first driver was pulling out of the parking lot of a nearby business and allegedly failed to yield when entering the roadway. The first vehicle reportedly hit the second vehicle. Both of the vehicles were inoperable following the wreck.
The driver that caused the accident was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for complaints of neck pain. He was cited for a violation count of driving while suspended, driving uninsured, failure of a previous violator to file and failure of a driver entering the roadway to yield the right of way.
Northbound traffic on Stephens Street was halted for a time as the accident was dealt with.
