Roseburg Police issued citations for prohibited camping and prohibited outdoor burning on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said just after 9:15 a.m. officers contacted a 37-year-old man and 33-year-old woman at their camp in a field next to a business in the 1900 block of Northwest Mulholland Drive. Their camp consisted of two small tents, a wagon filled with various personal items and a small campfire. The man admitted to starting the fire but agreed to put it out.

The camp was found to be in violation of the time, place and manner ordinance. The man was cited for both prohibited outdoor burning and prohibited camping, while the woman was only cited for prohibited camping.

Both people were released after their citations were issued.
