Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged store robbery on Monday.

An RPD report said just after 2:20 p.m. officers responded to WinCo Foods in the 2700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after loss prevention staff said that a man stole merchandise and had threatened them with a knife.

Officers later located the suspect, 39-year-old Brian Blevins Jr., near the intersection of Northeast Chestnut Avenue and Northeast Stephens Street. Blevins was taken into custody. He was still wearing the same clothing, and still allegedly had the stolen merchandise and the knife with him at the time of the arrest.

Blevins was charged with first-degree robbery, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, and third-degree theft. He was detained without bail.
