Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged store theft incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers were investigating another incident when store employees followed a man who had allegedly just stolen a grocery item from a store in the 700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Officers detained the 43-year-old who reportedly admitted to stealing $3.98 of water flavoring.

The man was charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,250.
