Roseburg Police cited a man for a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of fentanyl on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers responded to the parking lot of a business in 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after a caller said a man was passed out in a vehicle in front of a store. Officers arrived on scene and witnessed the 43-year-old smoking fentanyl from foil.

The man was taken into custody and admitted to smoking the drug. A search of his vehicle yielded only used foil from foil.
The man was released after being given his citation.
