An Air Stagnation Advisory and a Dense Fog Advisory are in effect through 10:00 a.m. Friday for much of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said for the Air Stagnation Advisory, poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants. For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility of one quarter mile or less in dense fog is expected.
The advisories are in place for central Douglas County, Josephine County and for eastern Curry County. This includes the cities of Roseburg, Grants Pass, Cave Junction and surrounding areas.
Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Low visibility in fog could make driving conditions hazardous.
