Winston Police recently arrested a man after a series of vehicle break-ins.
A WPD release said on the night of January 1st, officers began investigating the incidents which took place on Darrell Avenue and Parkway Drive. By January 2nd, they identified the suspect as 42-year-old Richard Harris of Roseburg. Officers contacted Harris and arrested him without incident.
Harris was charged with six counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, three counts of second-degree criminal trespass, and two counts each of theft in the third-degree, theft in the second-degree, and criminal mischief in the second-degree. Harris is detained on $54, 000 bail.
The investigation is ongoing and WPD is urging residents living on Darrell Avenue and Parkway Drive to check their vehicles for missing items and review any surveillance footage they may have.
