Roseburg Police cited a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving following a traffic accident Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 7:50 a.m. officers contacted the 43-year-old after he crashed his pickup into two trees near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. During the contact, officers saw signs of impairment. The driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he refused a blood draw.

Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for two vials of blood. The samples were collected, and the man was issued the citations. His vehicle was towed from the scene. Traffic in the area was impacted for a time while the accident was cleaned up.
