A Glendale woman was jailed for an alleged assault and weapon incident on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:50 a.m. 36-year-old Melissa Herrmann called dispatch to advise that she and a victim had gotten into a physical altercation in the 100 block of Hobbs Lane in the Glendale area.

Deputies responded to the residence and attempted to get a statement from Hermann, but she was reported to be belligerent, irate and uncooperative. The victim had left prior to deputy’s arriving.

At 11:45 a.m. the victim called in and requested contact. A deputy met with the victim who claimed that Hermann had tried to stab him with a knife during the altercation. The victim said he tried to get the knife away from the suspect and received cuts to his wrist, arms and hand.

Deputies made contact with Hermann at her residence. She reportedly admitted to threatening the victim with a knife. Hermann was taken into custody and charged with second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. She was detained without bail.
