CALIFORNIA MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER SINGLE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT

A California ,an was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 Tuesday night.

An Oregon State Police report said at 10:00 p.m. a vehicle was northbound on the freeway near the Canyon Creek summit, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which impacted a guardrail along the shoulder. The driver, a 33-year old from California, stated that he must have driven across a patch of ice. The report said there was standing water, but no ice.

The man was transported to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
