Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a alleged trespass and theft incidents early Saturday.

An SPD report said at approximately 12:10 a.m. the 29-year-old was called in for trespassing at multiple residences and stealing a blanket from the porch of one of them. This reportedly took place in the 400 block of Hawthorne Street and the 700 block of Park Hill Lane.

He was contacted later and had the blanket with him. The man was taken into custody and charged with second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. He was detained without bail and was released on Monday.
