ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED DUII INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a DUII incident on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 9:50 p.m. officers responded to the area of Northeast Newton Creek Drive and Northeast Slope Street after a caller said there was a DUII driver. Officers located the suspect vehicle, which had two blown out tires, at a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Officers contacted the 79-year-old driver inside the store and determined that he was heavily intoxicated.

The man was taken into custody. A search warrant was later obtained for his blood. He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended. He was cited for a breath test refusal. Bail was set at $16,250.
