A rider was taken to the hospital after his bike collided with an SUV on Tuesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said at 3:20 p.m. officers responded to the accident at the intersection of Northwest Eden Street and Northwest Cecil Avenue. The investigation concluded that the 47-year-old cyclist ran a stop sign while going down Eden Street and his vehicle collided with the SUV, which had stopped on Cecil Avenue.

The rider was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
