MYRTLE CREEK MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING SINGLE-VEHICLE WRECK

A Myrtle Creek man was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle wreck on Tuesday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 5:10 p.m. the 40-year-old claimed that he was travelling at approximately 40 miles per hour before the accident in the 4400 block of South Myrtle Road near Myrtle Creek. The report said, based on evidence at the scene, it appeared that he was traveling at a much higher rate of speed. His pickup appeared to have rolled several times.

The driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. Approximately 60 feet of fence was damaged.
