Covering coastal Douglas County:
A High Wind Warning is in effect from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to 4:00 a.m. Thursday for the south-central Oregon coast.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 40 to 55 miles per hour with gusts up to 70 miles per hour are expected.
The Warning area applies to all beaches, capes and headlands from Reedsport to Brookings, and exposed portions of Highway 101.
Forecasters said damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
