An Idleyld Park man was jailed for an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:00 p.m. the suspect believed his parole officer, who was not working that day, showed up at his residence in the 200 block of Helms Road to check in. The man, identified as 46-year-old Aaron Gilbert, ran out the back door into a victim’s yard where he jumped over and damaged a fence. Gilbert then reportedly proceeded to a second victim’s yard where that person shot a round into the ground after seeing Gilbert hiding behind a tree.

The suspect then allegedly hid in dense brush while deputies attempted to locate him. After some time, Gilbert exited the woods and was taken into custody.

He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct and a parole violation. Gilbert was detained without bail.
