Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported criminal mischief incident on Wednesday evening.

An RPD report said at 7:00 p.m. officers responded to the parking lot of a business in the 1200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after a caller said a man had broken a car window. Officers contacted the 71-year-old man in the area and learned he was allegedly the man who had committed the crime. He was taken into custody without issue. His probation officer requested that he be detained.

The man was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and a probation violation. Bail was set at $6,250.
