Warmer than normal high temperatures are expected in the Umpqua Valley through Christmas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said the region will see a mix of dry and wet conditions with several days of moisture in the forecast leading up to Christmas day. Highs will mainly be in the 50s with overnight lows in the 40s. The weather pattern appears to cool slightly after Christmas and remains that way through the end of the year.
